Community Volunteers (Non-Medical)

There is a variety of ways that community volunteers can support the work of Mustard Seed and we are always in need of volunteers outside the clinic setting. Opportunities include:

  • Pop-Up Food Pantry Support - Assistance gathering food from Second Harvest on the second Tuesday of each month, setting up the outside fruit and vegetable pantry the second Thursday of the month & serving as host, welcoming those in need of food and assisting them with food choices.
  • Translators - Mustard Seed serves a very diverse population and many have a primary language other than English. Last year we provided translation services in over 20 languages. Our primary need is interpreting Spanish to English.
  • Event Support - Volunteer to plan and execute one of our annual events or represent Mustard Seed at Community Outreach Events.
  • Gardening - Help us keep our campus beautiful by helping us care for current flower beds and create new areas of beauty through potted plants, seasonal outdoor decorations & more.
  • Delivery Drivers - Do you have a truck or van that could be used to transport boxes of produce from supplier to Mustard Seed. Looking for on-call volunteers that we could contact when we are in need of help in this area.
  • Physical Fitness- Help Mustard Seed promote physical activity within the community by volunteering to lead activities such as a walking group, chair yoga class, Pilates, etc. This helps Mustard Seed reach the goal of "whole-body health".
  •
