Mustard Seed has limited in-person opportunities for volunteers and interns. If you're looking for a way to get involved and help us with our work, check out the off-site ideas below to hold drives or build kits that benefit our patients.
We hope to have more in-person opportunities for volunteers in fall of 2026 - watch this space!
Volunteer Groups
If you have a group that would like to volunteer, please contact us by calling 336.805.7131. While our group volunteer opportunities on site are limited, we have group projects that can be conducted off-site that would benefit the patients of Mustard Seed. Some Examples include:
- Hosting a "KIT BUILD" to distribute to patients and community members.
- First Aid Kits
- Dental hygiene kits

- Conduct a Diaper Drive
- Host a Healthy Food Donation Drive for our Healthy Food Pantry

Specific skills
Mustard Seed Community Health is looking for licensed medical professionals to volunteer with our patient population. We are in high need of doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Certified Medical Assistants. If you are interested please call 336.805.7131.
Mustard Seed serves a very diverse population and many have a primary language other than English. Last year we provided translation services in over 20 languages. Our primary need is interpreting Spanish to English. If you'd like to help us with translation services, please call 336.805.7131.
Internships
Every year our Community Health Workers and Licenses Clinical Social Worker hosts public health, social work, nutrition, and other interns who's studies and area of interest align with the work of Mustard Seed. If you are interested in serving as an intern, please
contact us. We have limited capacity to host interns due to limited staff to supervise, but we do our best to host 2 to 4 interns per semester.
